New skills, new clothes.
Problem
Fast Fashion is the act of creating cheaply made clothing as quickly as possible. Although this may seem harmless it creates a number of issues involved with the topics of consumerist culture, humanitarian crises overseas, and the environment. However, textile waste is arguably one of the most influencing.
Solution
To inspire individuals to have a personal connection to their clothing as well as become more educated and consider issues caused by fast fashion.
Here you can see an image of a kimono using the technique Boro (ぼろ). The practice of reworking and repairing textiles (often clothes or bedding) through piecing, patching and stitching, in order to extend their use.
This kimono inspired the brand colors.
